Studio owner and head engineer Brin Addison has years of professional experience and has worked with a wide variety of international artists.
Brin began as a classical guitarist, studying his craft through the Royal School of Music in Brussels, Belgium. A native of South Africa, Brin moved to the United States in 1995 to pursue a career in music and found his way to Seattle, Washington, where he met Leon Hendrix (brother of legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix). He served as musical director for the Leon Hendrix Band and through this artistic relationship he quickly developed a network of musical talent and contacts in the industry, fulfilling his passion both as a musician and a producer.
Brin soon established his reputation as a major figure in the guitar world when he won the title of "Best Guitarist in Seattle" in the 1997 Guitar Starz 7 competition. Since then Brin has gone on to work with Chris Cornell, Smashing Pumpkins, Smashmouth, Aimee Mann, Indigo Girls and other internationally renowned artists.
Brin custom built the addisound studio in 2004, with a vision to create an environment that was acoustically superior and that would serve as a comfortable and inspiring creative space. His aim is to balance the artistic vision of his clients with recording strategies and methods that yield a high quality, professional final product that has the teeth to succeed in the marketplace.
At addisound our number one priority is supporting artists and bringing their creative vision to life. We offer substantial discounts and flexible payment options to independent artists.
